Report: Russia’s RAO ES East, Japan’s Mitsui may build wind plants
TOKYO, Nov 7 (PRIME) -- Russian power utility RAO ES East, a unit of hydropower giant RusHydro, and Japan’s Mitsui are holding talks on joint construction of wind power plants in the country’s Far East, Nikkei Asian Review reported on November 6 citing government sources.
The project is preliminarily estimated at 20 billion yen, or around U.S. $194 million, and encompasses construction of power plants with a capacity of 50 megawatts (MW) and a further increase to 100 MW by 2020 in the Kamchatka Region and the republic of Yakutia.
